How can people speaking different languages fall in love online? (without gesticulation, other means of expression) |
To develop a communication tool that will allow users to communicate in different languages(Chinese and English) using communication forms that will concentrate affective meaning. |
Before the Internet we could only use telephone and postal mail to communicate each other when you are not at the same place. The Internet changed the way people communicate. We now have MSN, Skype, e-mail, Chat and real-time video call. There are many companies developing new software and functions that improve communicationŐs quality. |
Why choosing love as a subject? I needed to narrow down the amount of words and expressions that will be used. I needed to combine the physical limits of computer keyboards, that is 188 characters with something that will engage users into communication. Historically people engage in love relationships and usually transcend communicational barriers of language to a more direct and bodily driven expressions. |
